In these Conditions of Use ‘our’, ‘we’, ‘us’ means the following companies together: Able Insurance Services Limited; Admiral Group plc; and any named preferred supplier.

About us

Admiral Business is a trading name of Able Insurance Services Limited, an Admiral Group plc company, at Ty Admiral, David Street, Cardiff, CF10 2EH (Company Number 02890075).

Able Insurance Services Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Firm Ref No: 311649). Able Insurance Services Limited is entered in the Financial Services Register; this can be confirmed at www.fca.org.uk/register. 

Able Insurance Limited is an insurance intermediary responsible for arranging and administering your policy on behalf of the authorised insurers.

Policy underwriter

Able Insurance Services Limited arranges the sale of insurance coverages on behalf of the authorised insurers set out in the policy documents issued. 

The precise coverage afforded by any insurance policy or other product issued by us is subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the policies as issued. A copy of all our policy documentation is available online and on request. 

The authorised insurer(s) for our Employer Liability coverage is a member of The Employer’s Liability Tracing Office (ELTO). ELTO is an independent body that was formed by the insurance industry to pro-actively help claimants find their Employers Liability insurer when they have suffered injury or claim.

The Employment Liability Act 1969 made it a legal requirement for employers (some exemptions apply) to be covered by employers’ liability insurance and in 2011 it was made mandatory by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for insurers to make employers’ liability policies available in a searchable format.

Data will be shared with ELTO for all companies and business owners who have Employers liability cover. Data is shared in accordance with our data sharing policy for approved third parties. For further information about how we use your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Residency requirement

The products and services described on this website are only available to UK residents insuring within the territorial limits of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Channel Islands, and Isle of Man. 

By asking for a quote, you confirm that you and any joint policyholders on the policy are UK residents and that you will immediately notify us if you or your joint policyholders stop being permanent UK residents.

Governing law

If any of these provisions shall be unlawful, void, or for any purpose unenforceable, then the particular provision will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Events beyond our reasonable control

We shall not be liable to you for any breach of these Conditions of Use or any failure to provide, or any delay in providing, our services through our website that results from any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control. This includes without limitation, strikes, lockouts, and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, fire, explosion, accident, insurrection, and war.

Discount Code

If you purchase an Admiral Business Insurance policy using a discount code either online or direct via our servicing team, the following terms and conditions will apply:

This offer is only available to customers who purchase a policy directly from Admiral Business online or via telephone.
You will be eligible for your discount at new business and the discount will be applied when you purchase the Admiral Business policy.
Depending on your chosen means of contact, a letter or email will be sent to you confirming the level of discount that has been applied to your policy along with the saving that you have made.
This offer is only available if you purchase the policy directly from Admiral Business or an appointed Third Party. If you apply via a Financial Adviser, or through any other website that isn’t admiralbusiness.com, such as a comparison site, you will not be eligible for this offer.
If you have previously held a Admiral Business policy within the last 18 months, you will not be eligible for this offer.
Admiral Business reserves the right to cancel your Admiral Business policy or remove your eligibility for this discount should we discover or have a reasonable suspicion that the terms and conditions of this offer are being abused.
Discount codes are limited to one Admiral Business customer.
Admiral Business reserve an absolute right to amend and/or withdraw any offer at any time.
No cash alternative will be offered.
This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount.

Refer a Friend

Referrer Rewards

The referrer is offered a £25 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card 45 days after each referred friend purchases their first policy and meets the reward conditions.
This offer can be shared for 3 months from the date of acceptance by the referrer.
In order for the referral to qualify for the reward, the referred friend must be a new customer to Admiral Business Insurance and over the age of 18 and the referred friend must meet the conditions of their reward.
There is no requirement for the referrer to be an existing Admiral Business Insurance customer.
In order to share this offer, the referrer must be over the age of 18.
Rewards will be cumulative. So, if multiple qualifying referrals are made to Admiral Business Insurance, multiple rewards will be delivered to the referrer, subject to a limit. A Referrer may not earn more than 5 within any 24-hour period or 25 within last 12 months or 1500 GBP of reward value within last 12 months. Rewards will not be issued for referrals exceeding the stated daily or annual limits.
Rewards will be delivered to the referrer 45 days after the referred friend's purchase provided the referred friend's purchase is not cancelled
Neither the Referrer or Referred Friend will receive the rewards if the Referred Friend cancels their policy before the 45-day waiting period.
The Referrer will be notified by email once a referred friend has purchased and when the reward has been earned.
Rewards will be valid for 90 days from the point of issue to the Referrer.
Referral rewards cannot be combined with other discount codes in a single order.
Admiral Business Insurance reserves the right to refuse the issue of any reward to any Referred Friend or Referrer at any time.
Admiral Business Insurance reserves the right to vary any and all elements of this offer at any time without notice.

Referred Friend Rewards

The Referred friend is offered a £25 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card after 45 days of purchasing a policy provided they meet the conditions of the reward
The reward is valid for 90 days from the point of issue to the referred friend.
Rewards will be delivered to the referred friend 45 days after the referred friend's purchase provided their purchase is not cancelled.
In order to qualify for the reward, the referred friend must be a new customer to Admiral Business, over the age of 18 and meet all reward conditions.
Any rewards will be revoked if a policy cancellation is requested before the 45-day waiting period on the order for which the reward was offered.
The Referred friend reward cannot be claimed by the same person making the referral
Referred friend rewards cannot be combined with other discount codes in a single order.
There are limits in place on how many and how frequently referrals can be made by any single referrer. Rewards may not be given if those limits are exceeded.
